South East London - Shot During the various government enforced lockdowns.

When the first lockdown was enforced here in the UK in March 2020 I was very anxious about how it was going to affect my work. I was forced to drop any projects I had begun working on and instead find a new way of working. I begun documenting my local area, forced into creating work in a “hyper localised” way. The limitations on travel and subject matter were tough at first but soon I began to relish the challenge of making the ordinary scenes of South East London into something more. I have always loved the concept of “The Everyday”, photography is the perfect medium to make something out of nothing… This collection of work focuses mostly on the quietness that was felt throughout the UK at the height of the pandemic.
